EMU School Age Centre Inc., located in École Margaret-Underhill in Transcona, is hiring a fulltime Child Care Assistant (CCA) to work a split shift of 7:00am - 9:30 am & 2:30 - 6:00pm Monday through Friday. The eligible candidate must also be available to work an 8 hour shift (straight through), on all RETSD/EMU in-services and breaks, including during the summer.
Eligible candidates must have/be:
- a CCA classification from province of Manitoba
- good written and verbal communication skills
- reliable, punctual, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
- open to learning about the child care profession
- display a high level of professionalism
- able to work independently and in collaboration with other staff
- nurturing and caring
All successful candidates will be required to obtain:
- a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search certificate
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- first aid and CPR level C
- Accessibility training
- Commit 2 kids training
- an eligible 40-hour child care training course (completed within the first year of employment)
