Job Summary
SAMBAL is a modern Indonesian bistro at The Danforth in Toronto. We are currently hiring Chef de Partie/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Asian cuisine is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to standardized recipes
- Ensure high quality, consistency, and proper plating of all menu items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Support team members and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
- Assist with kitchen prep, inventory, and cleaning as needed
Qualifications
- Experience as a CDP/Line Cook in a restaurant or professional kitchen (preferred)
- Familiarity with Asian or Southeast Asian cuisine is a strong asset
- Culinary school diploma or training (preferred)
- Food Handler Certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
