MLTC was created by nine First Nations located in north-west Saskatchewan who have constitutionally recognized aboriginal rights and Treaty Rights under Treaties #6, #8 and #10. The primary purpose of MLTC is to serve those First Nations in their aspirations for cultural, economic and political autonomy. The Meadow Lake Tribal Council is looking for a motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to fill the full time, permanent position of Report & Database Analyst for the Child & Family Services Department. Duties require but are not limited to: the collection, maintenance, and distribution of statistical information related to Child Protection, Alternate Care, Family Support, and Prevention Services as provided by MLTC Child & Family Services.

Duties (include but not limited to):
- Data collection and maintenance
o Collect, establish, maintain and distribute monthly child-in-care lists, stats, information and legal documents on an ongoing basis.
o Use Aboriginal Information System (AIS) and Automated Client Index (ACI).
- Reporting & billing
o Prepare billings on behalf of CFS to other Governments Departments &/or Agencies.
o Prepare maintenance reports for both INAC and Ministry of Social Services on a monthly & quarterly basis.
- Children’s Special Allowances/Vital Statistics o Liaison with Revenue Canada
- Other duties as requested or assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Appropriate combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- Certificate/Diploma in Office Admin from a recognized institute with related experience & knowledge in Child and Family Services Administrative Support Services with some accounting background.
Other:
- Demonstrated knowledge in office procedures; ability to maintain accurate records/files and documentation; excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, personal and professional integrity.
- Excellent public relations skills; verbal & written communication skills; excellent work ethics.
- Able to work under pressure, in a team environment and independently with minimum supervision.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computers, i.e., Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and computer software/database applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of MLTC and First Nation history, culture, and values.
- Preference will be given to individuals who speak either Cree or Dene.
