Job Summary:
The Coach at The Pickleball Village will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for players of all skill levels. As a certified coach through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), you will provide personalized coaching, feedback, and foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pickleball, self-motivated, and have prior coaching experience, particularly with youth or adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Design and implement training programs for players of all skill levels, focusing on technique, strategy, and overall improvement.
- Personalized Coaching: Offer one-on-one coaching sessions and constructive feedback to help players improve their skills and reach their goals.
- Teamwork & Sportsmanship: Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes on and off the court.
- Player Safety: Ensure a safe environment during all coaching sessions, clinics, and matches by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Event Participation: Coaching at pickleball events, tournaments, and clinics.
Qualifications:
- Certified Pickleball Coach: NCCP certification or equivalent (required).
- Coaching Experience: Previous experience coaching youth or adult players, with a strong understanding of pickleball techniques and strategies.
- First Aid Certification: Certification in First Aid is preferred to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Passion & Motivation: A passionate and self-motivated coach with a dedication to helping players achieve their goals.
