Job Overview
A restaurant cashier in a Caribbean restaurant. Successful candidate must have experience working in a restaurant environment with light duty food preparation duties. Other duties include managing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This includes greeting customers, processing payments, handling inquiries, and assisting with basic customer needs.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by accommodating special dietary needs or requests.
Qualifications
- Proficient in English and French and demonstrate effective communication with team members and customers.
- Experience with cashiering or cash handling
- Willing to undergo background check
- Strong customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.28-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
