Case Aide

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Term: Permanent, Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Child and Family Services Intervention Supervisor, the Case Aide supports the effective and efficient case management practices that produces the best outcome for children and families as per the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act. The Case Aide provides a variety of non-delegated services to assist the Child and Family Services Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist caseworkers with case management, including data entry, file organization, and report preparation.
• Collaborate with caseworkers to develop and implement client care plans.
• Communicate with clients, families, and community agencies to gather information and provide support.
• Transport clients and supervise visits as requested by casework team.
• Conduct initial assessments and screenings to identify client needs.
• Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families.
• Connect clients with community resources and services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to society policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• High School Diploma,
• Diploma or degree in Social Work or related field.
• Minimum three (3) years recent relevant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Children and Family Services is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
• Must be able to work well as a team and with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a confidential and fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
• Clear Child and Family Services Intervention Check.
• Class 5 Drivers License and clear Drivers Abstract.
