Paul’s Restorations is the largest independent full-service restoration company in Southwestern Ontario. We are dedicated to providing residential and commercial restoration services following water, fire, wind and mould damage.
We restore the interior and exterior of properties, even the contents inside. We provide a variety of restoration services that can help to bring buildings back to life, making it safe, functional, and aesthetically-pleasing once again.
We are currently looking to bring a carpenter on to our team.
REPORTS TO:
This position will report directly to Project Managers and the Branch Manager
DUTIES
Specific
· Skilled in the safe operation of both hand and power tools. Including temporary generators, table saws, ladders, etc.
· Safe set up and take down of scaffolding when needed/required.
· Skilled and safe demolition + debris removal.
· Prepare accurate, neat, and detailed material take-offs
· Clear understanding and application of supplied blueprints.
· Strong knowledge of Part 9, Ontario Building Code.
· Experience in commercial construction an asset.
· Experience in installation of insulation and vapor barrier
· Experience in installation of both steel and wood stud framing
· Experience in finish carpentry including baseboards, casing, door/opening jambs, sheathing, cabinetry, railings, other misc. finish carpentry.
· Ability to install new windows and door units.
· Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing as it relates to lights, outlets, switches, sinks, toilets, appliances, etc.
· Ability to temporarily secure projects on a per need basis.
· Install temporary shoring posts when required for demolition and rebuild purposes.
· Maintain a safe and clear worksite and vehicle at all times.
*On call for board ups and emergency service calls- rotational basis*
General
· Maintain and promote the image of the company as a technically, competent, efficient, and professionally managed organization.
· Documenting file management software system with daily notes and photos for project managers.
· Provide feedback to Project Managers on assigned tasks from day.
· Provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds the expectation of the client.
· Conduct all work in accordance with company safety policies.
· Adherence to all company workplace policies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- Finish Carpentry: 5 years (required)
- General Repairs: 5 years (preferred)
- Restoration: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
