Overview
Small, but busy and ever-growing business seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves building, restoring, and fabricating various structures and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Build frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and door frames.
- Restore or renovate existing structures as needed.
- Perform concrete forming for foundations and other structural elements.
- Install flooring materials with precision and care.
- Utilize CNC machinery for fabrication tasks when necessary.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure project completion.
- Estimate materials required for projects and assist in construction planning.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
- Familiarity with various carpentry techniques including flooring installation, concrete forming, and restoration work.
- Experience with CNC machinery is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
