Olympus Cannabis is a licensed retailer dedicated to offering a safe, welcoming, and educational shopping experience. As our business expands, we’re looking for a dependable and customer-focused individual to join our retail team as a full-time Cannabis Sales Associate.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building connections with people, has an interest in cannabis products and legislation, and works well in a busy retail setting. Because the role includes order deliveries, access to personal transportation is necessary.
Role Overview
The Sales Associate plays a key part in customer interactions, ensuring compliance with Ontario regulations, keeping store operations smooth, and maintaining an engaging shopping environment.
Key Duties
- Assist shoppers in finding suitable products, offering guidance tailored to their needs and level of experience
- Clearly explain product use, safe consumption practices, and dosing information
- Check government-issued ID to confirm legal purchasing age (19+)
- Operate the POS system to process purchases with accuracy and efficiency
- Manage pickup and delivery orders (requires valid G-class driver’s license and reliable vehicle)
- Organize shelves, rotate stock, and keep displays visually appealing
- Support cleanliness, merchandising, and overall store presentation
- Keep current on new products, promotions, and regulation updates
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock management
- Follow opening and closing procedures as well as security protocols
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless daily operations
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Valid G-Class driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- CannSell certification (completed before first shift)
- Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience an asset
- Familiarity with cannabis products and the Cannabis License Act preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable with technology, POS systems, and payment processing
- Reliable, adaptable, and a strong team contributor
