About the Role:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for strengthening community connections and showcasing the vibrant lifestyle offered at our Oakville retirement residences. This role focuses on community outreach, event execution, and strategic relationship building to support occupancy growth. By collaborating with the Sales teams and Executive Directors, you will help prospective residents and their families discover the exceptional experiences and personalized services we provide.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, healthcare professionals, local businesses, and referral networks.
- Drive strategic outreach initiatives to generate qualified leads and referrals.
- Represent the residences at community events, networking functions, and presentations to increase visibility and awareness.
Event Planning & Execution
- Design and host dynamic, interactive lifestyle events on-site and within the broader community to showcase the distinctive lifestyle of each residence.
- Coordinate engaging experiences that attract prospective residents and their families, positioning the residence as a premier senior living option.
Occupancy Growth Support
- Partner with the Sales team to convert community relationships and event participation into tours and move-ins.
- Work closely with Executive Directors to ensure all outreach and events align with brand standards and deliver exceptional experiences.
Brand Promotion
- Effectively communicate the unique value proposition of each Oakville residence to prospective residents, families, and community stakeholders.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the residences in a professional and engaging manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in business development, community engagement, marketing, or event planning, preferably in hospitality or senior living industry.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships.
- Creative event planning and execution skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable with CRM tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (local travel required between residences and community locations/events).
