Description: The Building Manager is available to respond to emergencies, tenant concerns/issues, maintain the cleanliness of the building as well as look after the maintenance and leasing of apartments. This position requires someone who is passionate about providing a safe and clean place for residents to call home.
Responsibilities:
Customer Focus:
- Respond to all resident questions, concerns and complaints in a timely manner
- Handle all aspects of renting suites such as; schedule viewings, conduct references and credit checks and perform move-in and move-out inspection
- Collect monthly rent payments
- Inspect occupied and vacant units as required
- Focus on customer service and resident retention
Building Maintenance:
- Clean all common areas including entrance and exits, make sure walkways are clear
- Maintain the cleanliness of the grounds
- Vacuum/wash floors, elevators, hallways, stairs, windows and common rooms
- Perform seasonal duties as required (gardening, snow removal and salting)
- Cleaning of vacant units
- Grounds keeping; mowing & weeding
- Perform minor maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience managing a residential rental complex while residing on the property
- Solid understanding and enforcement of the Residential Tenancy Act
- Strong communication skills and experience in conflict resolution
- Flexible schedule able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34,400.00-$55,000.00 per year
