Budtender Wanted – Highland Buds Cannabis Store

Position: Budtender
Location: Highland Buds Cannabis Store
Hours: Must be available to work solo shifts and close the store at 11pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and recommend products based on their needs and preferences.
- Product Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and safe usage. Stay updated on new arrivals and trends.
- Sales & Transactions: Accurately process sales and handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Inventory: Receive, stock, and organize inventory. Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Compliance: Follow all provincial and federal regulations for retail cannabis, including age verification and responsible sales.
- Store Closing Duties: Responsible for closing procedures: count till, secure cash, lock up, and ensure store is clean and orderly.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy, organized store—restocking, cleaning counters, and ensuring products are presented well.
- Solo Shifts: Comfortable working alone, managing the store independently, and handling unexpected situations.
- Professionalism: Be reliable, punctual, and maintain a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Security: Be vigilant about security best practices, customer safety, and store protocols.
Qualifications
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Cannabis product knowledge (strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently and close at 11pm
- Must meet provincial legal requirements for working in cannabis retail (such as age, certifications, and background checks)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
