NUMIS CPAsis looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team! Reporting to the Manager, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing clients' financial records and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions across a diverse range of clients.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and CRA account balances
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Preparing GST, PST and WCB Returns
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in relevant industries
- 2+ Years QuickBooks Online, including experience using the connected bank feeds and rules functions
- 2+ Years using SAGE and/or QuickBooks Desktop
- Strong typing speed of 50+
- Experience using Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe PDF
- Experience with HubDoc, CaseWare and CCH iFirm considered an asset
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, then come together as a team when needed
- Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities
