Job Description: Axford Real Estate Bookkeeper
The job candidate will be responsible for Bookkeeping for a Port Moody residential property management company.
1) Bookkeeping Activities:
a. Receiving and depositing rent by e-transfer
b. Posting and tracking of expenses for each unit
c. Record and reconcile all bank accounts on a regular basis
d. Set up payment to owners by EFT
e. Preparation of internal monthly financial statements
f. Assist in preparation of NR6 non- resident tax applications
g. Monthly non-resident tax payment
h. Annual NR4 filing
i. Working with auditors on annual review
j. Accounts receivables and payables
k. Miscellaneous help for Axford administration
2. Payroll
a. Keeping track of commissions earned by property managers
b. Preparation of semi-monthly payroll
c. Monthly payroll remittances
d. Annual T4 filing
The job candidate is a bookkeeper that is supervised by Axford Real Estate management. Job duties will be done at a combination of at the Axford Real Estate office and your office/home office.
Education and Experience: Experience working with trust accounts is desirable and experience in property management would be preferred. Excellent attention to detail is required. You will work closely with property managers on an ongoing basis.
Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Buildium, Sage, Excel and non-resident tax withholdings for foreign property owners.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
