Job Overview
We’re a growing virtual bookkeeping firm seeking a part-time assistant with strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. You should be confident navigating complex spreadsheets, organizing financial data, and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks with minimal oversight.
Duties
- Handle bookkeeping tasks in Excel — importing and cleaning CSVs, building categorized statements, and prepping clean data for upload.
- Use QuickBooks online along with third party apps to import and automate entering.
- Organize cloud-based files on OneDrive.
- Support new client onboarding: gathering documents, organizing files.
- Assist with one-off admin tasks to keep the business running smoothly
What You Bring
- Expert-level Excel: You should be fast, confident with formulas, pivot tables, sorting/filtering, and importing large data sets.
- Bookkeeping know-how: You understand income vs. expenses, how to read statements, and how transactions should flow — even if you're not a full-blown accountant.
- Organized, tech-savvy, and proactive. You don’t wait to be micromanaged — you get it done.
- Comfortable working virtually, communicating through email/chat, and asking the right questions when things aren’t clear.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
