Vista Academy is the Okanagan's, Premier Autism Academy. We provide meaningful, multi-sensory, and inclusive education options for students entering kindergarten through Grade 12. Every student is guaranteed the support they deserve with one-to-one teaching ratios by highly-skilled behavioural interventionists.
We are seeking dynamic, career-motivated individuals to join our amazing team.
This position is available to start training for mid-end of August. Part-time, Full-time and casual positions are available Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. (we require a minimum commitment of 3 days a week *excluding casual employees). Vista Academy is not open over the weekend or on Stat Holidays. Vista follows the school district's holiday schedule for Spring Break and Winter Break, along with a two-week closure at the end of June and a one-week closure at the end of August. This means that you have 8 weeks of holidays throughout the year.
Our ideal candidate is energetic, patient, flexible and holds a post-secondary degree in Psychology or another related field. This position may require you to work with young children who exhibit aggressive and or self-injurious behaviour. Additional training will be provided. All candidates must have a passion for creating a meaningful impact within our community and a learning mindset.
