Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback/Bar Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders in providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar. This role is essential for ensuring that our bar operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support bartenders by preparing and restocking supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Assist in serving drinks and food to customers as needed, ensuring timely service.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless workflow during busy shifts.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service and enhance their experience at the establishment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and kitchen operations is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is a plus.
