Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Banquet Chef for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is a beautiful 27 hole Scottish links style championship golf course located 10 minutes southwest of Saskatoon on the scenic Valley Road. The Club offers a full range of food services throughout it’s various outlets including weddings, tournaments, banquets and a full service restaurant/patio.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager while being responsible for the food services during events throughout the operation while upholding all company standards and policies
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Banquet Chef, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests during various events and functions.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for banquets, ensuring all dishes meet the established standards of taste and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and ensure timely execution of food service during events.
- Supervise and assist kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management.
Experience
- Previous experience (at least 5 years) as a Chef in a restaurant or banquet setting is mandatory.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety practices.
- Experience in restaurant management or team management is a plus.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- A background in hospitality is beneficial for understanding guest expectations.
