Job Overview
A Line Cook is responsible for their station's workflow and getting meals out on a timely manner. They cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Maintain a clean & tidy workspace, complete daily cleaning and station checklists and be a good team player. Experience necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and support BOH staff including cooks, dishwashers, and prep team.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and enforce proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Manage BOH inventory, including receiving deliveries, tracking usage, and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with Front of House Leads to ensure timely and coordinated service.
- Assist in scheduling BOH team members and adjusting staffing based on park traffic.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report issues promptly.
- Uphold all health department, company, and safety standards.
- Act as point of contact for BOH during manager absence or peak operational hours.
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment, leading by example.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a kitchen or BOH leadership role (e.g., lead cook, kitchen supervisor).
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Must be flexible with schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak season shifts.
