Located in the beautiful countryside just five minutes from Merrickville Ontario, Allan’s Tool Shed is a family owned and operated Automotive and Light Truck repair facility specializing in the overall servicing of our clients’ vehicles.
We are currently recruiting for an Automotive Service Advisor/Office Manager who is interested in working well with others in a quiet rural setting. We are looking for someone who is committed to continuous learning and who is passionate about being an early adopter of new trends, procedures, and technology.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
We are looking for someone who is highly reliable and honest and is always taking the initiative to learn. You would be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, with minimal supervision. You have great communication and teamwork skills.
Eventual Responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with the customer in a friendly and professional manner
- Being aware of part stock levels and reordering when necessary
- General office management including accounting and payroll.
- Provide labour and part estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to clients
Qualifications
- Computer knowledge and willing to learn SAGE and LANKAR business programs.
- Willingness to attend evening training courses if necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record (Proof of clean record upon request)
- Must provide your own transportation to and from work

Salary range varies depending on the candidate’s level of experience and expertise.

Must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Hourly wage to be discussed in an interview and will reflect work experience.
