Assistant Property Manager
MDC Realty Advisors is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our growing commercial property management company in Calgary. Our firm manages a diverse portfolio of retail, office, and industrial properties located in Alberta and BC. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our property management team by providing administrative assistance, coordinating day-to-day operations, and helping to ensure the smooth management of our portfolio of commercial properties. Responsibilities include:
· Administrative Support: Assisting property managers with their day-to-day duties including scheduling appointments, tenant communications, and day-to-day operational tasks.
· Tenant Relations: Responding to tenant inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner. Coordinating maintenance, repairs, and property inspections.
· Lease Administration: Supporting the review and tracking of lease agreements, renewals, and amendments. Maintaining accurate records of lease terms and obligations.
· Property Inspections & Maintenance: Coordinating regular property inspections, ensuring that properties are in good condition. Liaise with contractors, vendors, and maintenance staff for timely resolution of issues.
· Financial Support: Assisting with the preparation of budgets, expense tracking, and rent collection. Maintaining accurate records of income and expenses for properties.
· Document Management: Ensuring all property-related documents are properly filed and maintained in both physical and digital formats. Help generate reports for internal and client review.
· Tenant Onboarding & Move-Outs: Coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with lease terms.
The role will require visiting properties as required.
Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years experience in the commercial property management field.
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office tools such as MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Access, and MS-PowerPoint.
· Proficiency in the use of Yardi property management software is preferred.
· Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills geared towards customer relations.
· Energetic with a positive attitude.
· Property Management License from RECA is preferred.
· Vehicle an asset (mileage will be reimbursed).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
