Assistant Site Manager

City Vibe is seeking a qualified candidate to work as the Assistant Site Manager for a Calgary based project. The Assistant Site Manager on a City Vibe site is responsible for the scheduling, quality control and budgeting requirements for a multifamily building project from framing to turnover.
Responsibilities:
· Full understanding of schedule, relationships within schedule, when and how to refine schedule.
· Schedule forecasting and outlook.
· Communicating to trades about upcoming schedules (written notification and verbally communicating during weekly site meetings)
· Hold preconstruction meetings 2 weeks prior to each work activity
· Utilize schedule to procure materials for on time delivery
· Schedule input, tracking and monitoring on a daily basis
· Completes all suites according to the schedule template
· Holding City Vibe and trades accountable to schedule start and completion dates.
· Ensuring each work activity is 100% complete and deficiency free
· Ensuring work areas are clean
· Managing the flow of material
· Quality control inspections after each work activity
· Documenting deficient work using City Vibe predetermined platform, communicating to trades and ensuring deficient items are completed in a timely fashion.
· Communicates with Site Manager weekly to review key areas of construction and field performance objectives
· Reporting deviations, inefficiencies, and problems daily with accuracy and urgency to trade partners and Site Manager
· Manages purchase orders (P.O) according to City Vibe guidelines and procedures
· Manages packing slips according to City Vibe guidelines and procedures
· Educates oneself on trade partners contractual scope of work
· Educates oneself on site specific drawings and details
· Approach all dealings with integrity
· Has a proactive approach to the build not a reactive approach
· Manages the site by walking around, not from behind a desk
· Adheres to all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines as well as the City Vibe Health & Safety Management Plan
Qualifications/Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred
· Two or more years of residential or construction supervisory experience
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task
· Must be able to work independently
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required for daily travel
· Ability to walk residential communities and ungraded lots regularly
· Ability to climb stairs regularly and ladders occasionally
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
City Vibe offers competitive salaries in addition to benefits, including company-split Extended Health/Dental plan, Life & AD&D, long term disability.
Starting salary of $85,000 to $100,000 annually depending on experience.
