We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team. The Asphalt Raker plays a crucial role in the paving process, ensuring that asphalt is evenly distributed and properly finished for high-quality road surfaces. The successful candidate would preferably have at least 2 years experience working with asphalt, be dependable, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Rake and spread asphalt materials to achieve a smooth and even surface.
- Collaborate with crew members to build and pave roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces as needed.
- Monitor the temperature of the asphalt to ensure optimal conditions for application.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
Skills
- Experience in paving techniques and processes, with a focus on building durable surfaces.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
