Job Description:
The Town of Inuvik is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Aquatics Supervisor to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and overall functionality of our aquatic facilities, ensuring high-quality services for the community.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing, planning, executing, and evaluating pool operations and aquatic programs for swimmers of all levels
- Current certifications in National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Standard First Aid/CPR
- Instructor Trainer or Aquatic Supervisor certification (an asset)
- Proven experience in maintaining pool safety standards, water quality, and compliance with health regulations
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to train, schedule, and mentor aquatic staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with the public, staff, and community groups
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
The successful candidate must pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check.
This position offers a competitive salary range of approx. $90,792.00 and $116,272.00 per annum, with an additional Northern Living Allowance of $14,706.00 per annum.
