Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of aquatics programming based on LSS standards
- Recruit, supervise, train and actively mentor staff and volunteers
- Maintain professional relationships with community partners, peers, members, volunteers and parents
- Lead a team of lifeguards & swim instructors
- Provide safe, effective and efficient delivery of BGC Hamilton-Halton aquatics programming, including supervision of camp swims, open swims, lane swims, swimming lessons, aquafit, etc.
- Administration of first aid and pool maintenance tasks
- Complete all necessary documentation, including but not limited to: pool maintenance logs, report cards, worksheets, etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A passion for shaping meaningful experiences and creating lasting impact
- A belief in equity, opportunity, and the potential of every child
- A university or college degree in recreation, child & youth work, or a related field
- Current NLS, SFA, Swim & Lifesaving Instructor, Bronze Examiner, Pool Operator Level 1, and at least one advanced qualification. Additional aquatics qualifications considered an asset.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in aquatic programming and supervision
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Leadership skills, including the ability to contribute to the creation of a positive team and workplace dynamic
- A passion to create positive environments to enable and support young people
- Valid G license and access to a vehicle
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Check
