A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.
MINIMUM Qualifications:
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR Certification(s) REQUIRED.
- Swimming/Instructing: 1-2 years Experience.
- Enthusiastic personality!
- Experience in the water teaching.
- Must maintain ALL certifications throughout the length of employment.
- Must complete ALL required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children.
- Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
- Support the Aquatics Leader/Manager and/or Business Owner(s).
- Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Maintain certifications throughout employment.
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high AND stand in the water for up to 4 consecutive hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Enthusiastic personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.
- Effectively communicate with customers and employees, bi-lingual is a plus.
- Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching methods and procedures of British Swim School.
- Able to multi-task in a changing environment with priorities in order.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
