Golden Hammer Carpentry is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to learn the trade of carpentry while gaining hands-on experience in various construction projects.
The Carpenter Apprentice will assist skilled carpenters in building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role will provide valuable training in a variety of carpentry tasks, including blueprint reading, fabrication, and the use of power tools.
Job applicants will be working hands on assisting a journeyperson carpenter with construction and renovation projects.
- Will learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job.
- Must be familiar with common power and hand tools.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good physical strength and stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Experience in construction is an asset
Apprentice Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building patio decks
- Framing and sheeting
- Installation of siding, windows, and doors
- Interior finish work
- Installation of window and door trim and baseboard
- Installation hardwood and laminate flooring
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, or willingness to learn this skill.
- Set up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
