Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Technician to join our Doctor Appliance Repair Halifax team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on appliance repair. As an Appliance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various household appliances while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot appliance issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform repairs on a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure appliances are functioning efficiently.
- Assemble and install new appliances as needed, ensuring all safety standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance options.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Requirements
- Proven experience in appliance repair with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in assembly tasks related to appliance installation is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour
