Work Schedule & Arrangement
- 1–5 days per week, ideally 5 workdays; 2–3.5 hours per day (2:45pm - 6:15pm) ; evening or full-day weekend schedules available (if applicable);
- 3-month probation period.

We are seeking a passionate and responsible English and Mathematics Teacher (K–G6) to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and effective instruction, helping students strengthen their language foundation and mathematical thinking while fostering positive study habits and self-confidence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement English and Mathematics lesson plans and curricula for K–G6 students (teaching materials will be provided);
- Design engaging, differentiated classroom activities and assignments tailored to varying learning levels;
- Assessment & Feedback: Grade classwork, homework, and practice exercises; prepare midterm and final student performance reports with progress feedback;
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Must have received formal schooling in an English-speaking country from age 12 or earlier, and hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Preference will be given to candidates with North American or Commonwealth backgrounds;
- Candidates who do not meet the above schooling requirement must hold a BC teaching certificate, a Canadian teaching license or equivalent education credentials, or a Generalist Certificate for elementary teaching;
- Ability to effectively teach K–G6 English and Mathematics, including reading, writing, basic grammar and vocabulary, numeracy, four operations, word problems, and foundational geometry/measurement;
- Clear and standard proficiency in spoken and written English; native speakers preferred;
- Strong communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to apply differentiated and adaptive teaching strategies;
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada 【please specify the required documentation if applicable】.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching ESL/ELL;
- Possession of a valid teaching certificate/license or related professional training credentials;
- Demonstrated experience in elementary mathematics teaching and test/question design;
- Familiarity with educational technology tools (e.g., LMS platforms, assessment tools, interactive whiteboards);
- Advanced degree in English, Education, or Mathematics.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
