Interested in helping students achieve academic success? If so, consider a tutor position with Sylvan Learning Centre in Sherwood Park. Sylvan is recruiting individuals who can tutor high school math and the sciences and who can teach the Sylvan programs of reading, math, and writing. Tutors work with students in a 3:1 setting in centre, providing individualized instruction to each student. For the summer, tutoring is offered throughout the day and early evening Monday through Thursday, and during the school year, tutoring is offered after school and evenings Monday through Thursday and during the day on Sunday.
Applicants are accepted who have a degree or who are in the 3rd or 4th year of a degree program (B.Ed. preferred). The person who best qualifies has a positive attitude, works well with students of all ages, and is an effective motivator.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
