Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to conduct AeroBarrier air sealing on new and existing buildings, being constructed or renovated to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of building science, construction technology and be comfortable operating machines. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Technician will ensure optimal air sealing of the house while providing excellent customer service.
Training is provided. Salary is $20.00/hr during the training period and $25.00/hr when candidate demonstrates proficiency. Estimated - 1 to 2 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Set up equipment and prep the house
- Check fluid levels and start air compressor and generator
- Conduct an initial air test on the house
- Perform the air seal and check the house for large holes and seal them
- Conclude the seal when the air tightness target is reached
- Conduct a final air test on the house
- Save the file on the computer
- Clean equipment
- Clean up prep materials in the house
- Pack equipment into trailer
- Fuel up equipment so it is read for the next day
- Take note of any supplies needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites
Qualifications
- A knowledge of building science and where air leakage is likely to occur
- Building experience would be useful
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license is required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary
- Physical ability to carry 5 gallon pails of sealant
