Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
Duties
- Process and record accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment arrangements, utilizing effective phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft for tracking payments and generating reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial services role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and account analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks and PeopleSoft.
- Excellent math skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding payment issues.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
