Account Manager/Sales
JOB SUMMARY: The Account Manager is responsible for acquiring, expanding, supporting, and maintaining a particular group of accounts. This role involves increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. To this end, the Account Manager will identify, qualify, and close accounts seeking the organizations products and services. The Account Manager will also work with sales channels to raise awareness of company offerings and initiate new business ventures in order to increase market share and meet fiscal goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Energy Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
- Serve as a single-point-of-contact for key accounts; execute all services for client, such as testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support;
- Develop and maintain relationships within assigned accounts; improve client utilization and product/service adoption rates;
- Collaborate with customer contacts, up to and including senior level executives, in order to define needs and provide solutions;
- Identify and target new business sales opportunities that close quickly for the highest revenue.
- Professionally promote, represent, and maintain the organization’s brand image and identity within the marketplace;
- Develop sales goals for territory or area; manage all aspects of strategic sales initiatives for these regions;
- Provide input and assist in development of presentations and other marketing collateral;
- Create and conduct in-depth sales presentations that highlight key benefits, ROI, and value the company’s products/services;
- Identify and resolve risks associated with the delivery and/or provision of customer contracts; manage client expectations throughout the contract;
- Pursue contract renewals;
- Ensure overall client satisfaction;
- Conduct and develop quarterly and annual account reviews in order to effectively manage account lifecycles;
- Analyze, assess, and document client results to ensure customer needs are being met;
- Promote awareness of new products and services to accounts;
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, other stakeholders.
- Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences.
- Strong consultative skills.
- Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
- Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
- Excellent speaking skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.
- Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
- Ability to coordinate, organize and present product demonstrations and other events.
- Fluency in using MS WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and OUTLOOK
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Frequent sitting, bending, twisting and standing;
- Attend meetings in office and at client sites
- Must be able to travel up to 10%;
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Post-Secondary Education in Sales, Marketing and/or Business. Equivalencies will be considered.
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ licence Q
Qualifications:
- Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s policies;
- 5 years commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1’s guidelines;
- Results from a background check must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s guidelines;
- Oil and Gas Experience required;
- Completions field experience preferred;
- Minimum 2 years of direct-selling and account management experience;
- Must be able to travel occasionally through Western Canada including multi-day trips;
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
