What You’ll DoAs an ABA Program Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in developing and implementing high-quality programming that supports the growth and independence of the children and youth we serve. Depending on your certification (RBA or candidate under supervision), responsibilities include:
For RBAs:
- Supervise Instructor Therapists (ITs) and monitor and evaluate IT performance.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ESDM, EBIC, EFLS)
- Design and individualize teaching programs based on assessments and family input
- Develop and oversee behaviour reduction plans
For RBA Candidates (under supervision):
- Support the training of ITs; monitor and evaluate IT performance.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ESDM, EBIC, EFLS) under the supervision of an RBA.
- Design and individualize teaching programs based on assessments and family input, under the supervision of an RBA.
- Develop and oversee behaviour reduction plans under the supervision of an RBA.
All Candidates:
- Participate in client intake and treatment planning
- Conduct staff training and parent coaching
- Prepare teaching materials, reports, and progress notes
- Liaise with schools, agencies, and community partners as needed
- Meet with families regularly to review progress and provide strategies for home
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in ABA or Applied Disability Studies
- Eligible for supervised practice (per CPBAO) or already registered as an RBA (Ont.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Autistic individuals
- At least 2 years of program supervision and management experience preferred
- Strong foundation in Verbal Behaviour and Skills-Based Treatment (SBT)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience working collaboratively with families and other professionals
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
