The Human Resource Services Branch at the Department of Education consists of a group of dedicated staff members who work very closely as a team and in support of one another. We take pride in our ability to deliver excellent customer service to all our clients and business partners! This position manages and coordinates a range of human resource processes and procedures to support the temporary employee placements for teacher’s on-call, auxiliary school-based employees and Assistant Outdoor Education Guides.

Our ideal candidate will be well versed in administrative processes, but will be an innovative thinker with strong problem solving skills who is keen to identify opportunities for efficiencies which align with the needs of schools and the strategic direction of the HR branch. Success in the role will depend on your interpersonal skills including strong written and oral communication, your ability to think through a problem and develop, implement and evaluate creative solutions, while managing the everyday needs for temporary placements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field;
  • Considerable experience providing financial, human resource, or senior administrative services;
  • Extensive experience providing client service;
  • Supervision experience may be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
