- Oversee Environmental Programs: Administer Yukon Energy’s Environmental Management System and lead programs related to sustainability, climate change adaptation, and fish hatchery operations.
- Ensure Compliance and Integrity: Support adherence to territorial and federal environmental regulations while aligning with corporate environmental policies.
- Deliver Technical Expertise: Provide project management and technical support for environmental initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and reporting.
What you need to succeed:
- A post-secondary degree in environmental studies, natural/social sciences, or related field.
- Hands-on experience managing environmental systems and navigating Yukon’s regulatory landscape.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 standards (Internal Auditor certification an asset).
- Proven ability to lead environmental inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Skilled in project planning, execution, and reporting—balancing multiple priorities and budgets.
- Technically savvy: able to interpret scientific reports and apply climate adaptation strategies.
- Confident communicator with experience in training, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
- Knowledgeable in environmental legislation, risk mitigation, and sustainability practices.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across diverse and cross-cultural teams.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.

Competitive Compensation: $54.13-$64.64 per hour PLUS northern allowances.
