Action Electrical is currently seeking commercial and/or wood frame Apprentice Electricians of all levels. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks each day and must be able to perform a full range of electrical assignments such as: read and follow blueprints, install equipment and fixtures, inspect and test electrical systems and complete rough-in of new electrical devices. Candidates must have had exposure to the Canadian Electrical Code.
Job Requirements
· Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification required.
· Fall Arrest and Elevated Work Platform tickets are preferred but not mandatory.
· Valid class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required.
· Knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution systems.
· Competent in the use of hand and power tools and test equipment.
· Mechanically inclined.
· Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching.
· Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms and comfortable working from heights.
· Strong organizational and planning skills.
· High attention to detail and take pride in workmanship.
· In town work – usually Monday to Friday shifts (incentives for out-of-town work)
· Willingness to work out of town and night shifts w/ incentives.
Action Electrical offers:
· Competitive Wages – Journeyman base rate of $39.00/hr.
- 1st year - $19.50/hr.
- 2nd year - $23.40/hr.
- 3rd year - $27.30/hr.
- 4th year - $31.20/hr.
· Vacation/general holiday pay of 11% (not included in above rate)
· Benefit Plan after 90-day period (approximately $0.63/hr. not included in the above rate)
