Overview

Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team where technology meets innovation? Solace is seeking a skilled Technical Product Manager to join our Event Broker and Event Mesh product team. This is your chance to be at the forefront of technological development, where Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) intersects with Agentic AI, powered by our scalable Broker Platform.

As a Technical Product Manager at Solace, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions. Your expertise in event brokers and cloud technologies will be instrumental in setting new industry standards and expanding the capabilities of Agentic AI through Event-Driven Architecture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovation Leadership: Support the development of groundbreaking solutions within our broker platform. Contribute to the advancement of Event-Driven Architecture and enhance AI capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams to translate detailed use cases and requirements into actionable plans for architects and developers.
  • Market Readiness: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective product messaging and enablement content that ensures our solutions meet market demands and customer needs.
  • Strategic Product Management: Evaluate proposed solutions, balancing technical depth with practical impact. Ensure product direction is innovative and aligned with market requirements.

The Cool Stuff You’ll Do

  • Lead technical feature delivery and customer-centric initiatives for major products or features
  • Define product and feature specifications and roll-out strategies.
  • Track high-level product metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage technical product roadmaps.
  • Conduct customer discovery sessions.
  • Represent Product Management as a Product Owner across 1 or 2 design scrums.
  • Lead complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple design teams.
  • Help lead and scale product areas to meet enterprise and customer needs.
  • Act as a product escalation point, working closely with engineering to deliver robust solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales support, including RFP/RFI responses.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in the IT or telecommunications sector, with experience in cloud, messaging middleware, and/or IoT.
  • 3+ years as a product manager, product line manager, or product owner for Enterprise product developed with development teams using an Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with a wide variety of different programming languages and messaging protocols is desirable.
  • Specific experience in the middleware, integration, APIM space very desirable.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, and/or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry technologies and market trends, particularly in event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming solutions like Solace's Event Broker and Solace Event Mesh.
  • Experience with Solace-supported messaging protocols, such as AMQP, MQTT, JMS, and REST.
  • Technical expertise in event brokers with a solid understanding of leading cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise integration projects using Kafka, and its cloud provider equivalents like AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs, and Google Cloud Pub/Sub, along with other data streaming technologies, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture and lifecycle management of complex real-time data integration projects is desired.
  • Strong communication, presentation, planning, organizational and persuasion skills.
  • Technically strong and able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Proficiency in Agile software delivery methodologies.
  • Exceptional customer engagement and technical communication abilities.
  • Strong collaboration with technical teams to drive feature delivery.
