Overview
The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day supply chain execution, including procurement, materials requirement planning (MRP), and logistics operations. This role ensures accurate and timely purchasing, and leads the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments. The Supply Chain Lead provides operational leadership to the Logistics Coordinator and acts as the primary point of contact for supply chain matters within the business. You will be working on-site out of our office in Surrey, B.C.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement
- Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring timely release of purchase orders to meet demand requirements.
- Manage the MRP process to align material availability with business needs.
- Maintain oversight of vendor relationships and performance, escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of landed costs in coordination with Finance and Analytics.
Logistics & Outbound Operations
- Lead and support the Logistics Coordinator in managing inbound shipment tracking and outbound dispatch planning.
- Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs.
- Ensure on-time, cost-effective shipment execution for both inbound and outbound flows.
- Resolve escalations related to freight delays, compliance, or cost variances.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and coach the Logistics Coordinator, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Establish clear processes for handover between procurement and logistics functions.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused supply chain team environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance to validate costing and purchase price variances.
- Work with Sales/Commercial teams to provide shipment visibility and accurate pricing updates.
- Collaborate with the Systems & Analytics Specialist to improve reporting, ERP data integrity, and process efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics.
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Proven track record in managing supplier relationships and logistics providers.
- Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with landed cost calculations, Incoterms, and international shipping requirements.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical thinker with a process-improvement mindset.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
