Position Description


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations, the Customer Service Representative (Supply Chain) position will play a critical role in providing the Supply Chain Customer Service Activities.

This role is accountable for providing excellent customer service of critical items to all departments in support of the children at SickKids Hospital. The primary functions will include to action STAT calls, provide information and supplies, having client orders ready for pickup and assume responsibility for all aspects of customer service.

Here's What You'll Get to do:

  • Manage and maintain records of incoming and outgoing packages using tools like Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PowerApps, and Word.
  • Utilize tracking platforms (like excel, PowerApps, SharePoint folders etc.) for monitoring and updating the status of packages.
  • Coordinate with customers to plan and schedule deliveries.
  • Manage and maintain record-keeping of important documents such as Proof of Deliveries.
  • Address customer inquiries promptly.
  • Handle STAT calls and provide necessary information and supplies.
  • Have client orders ready for pickup and take responsibility for all aspects of customer service.
  • Act as a bridge between Supply Chain and other departments.
  • Address inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Fulfill requests from specific programs (Home Care, Thalassemia, and Hemophilia).
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and messages.
  • Prioritize and ensure timely completion of customer requirements.
  • Enter, pick, and confirm orders.
  • Organize and maintain a filing system.
  • Confirm manual and system-generated orders.
  • Create Express Issues.
  • Cancel Stock requests.
  • Perform system maintenance.
  • Support activities related to Supply Cart Review, Redesign, and Maintenance.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Minimum grade 12 education required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong customer service commitment with attention to accuracy.
  • Adaptability to change and flexibility.
  • Highly developed Problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, SharePoint, Excel)
  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Store's operation processes is an asset.
  • Ability to lift packages of varying sizes and weights.

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time- 1.00FTE, 1 year contract

  • The role is in-person with no option for remote or hybrid work.
