Staff Product Manager

We have an opportunity for a Staff Product Manager to join our Product Management team, based anywhere in Canada, reporting to the director of Product Management. In this pivotal role, you will define the roadmap and ensure the successful delivery of licensing of DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI) software. Collaborating closely with customers, Sales, and partners, you will conduct market research and prioritize and define requirements for Engineering to bring products to market. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly experienced, collaborative team to make a significant impact on the DDI market, and there is plenty of opportunity for managerial and technical growth.


Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive next generation Infoblox NIOS DDI product including product roadmap, pricing and licensing, and value props
  • Define requirements for NIOS DDI features and capabilities related to physical/virtual appliances, value added services, private cloud (VMware, OpenStack, Nutanix, etc.) as well as public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) platforms
  • Work closely with engineering and driving decisions on feature/cost trade-off, ROI, and impact on customer experience
  • Work closely with other product managers to ensure product features and pricing/licensing model address necessary aspects for the portfolio
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing functions in the development of data sheets, presentations, product positioning statements, sales training, competitive analysis, and FAQs
  • Develop business cases for new concepts, including opportunity size, financial impact, market share, cost of sales, and profitability expectations
  • Lead customer evaluation programs


Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8-14 years of product management experience with at least 6 years of experience in networking products
  • Software licensing or cloud licensing experience is an asset
  • Solid knowledge of physical/virtual appliances based on VMware, KVM, AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience with network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and SCP is a plus
  • Ability to identify and articulate customer problems and translate those into product strategy and requirements
  • Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams to successfully deliver features
  • Demonstrated success in managing relationships with partners, customers, and sales teams, particularly in difficult or challenging situations
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering required; MBA preferred

Six Months: Own the NIOS licensing roadmap, collateral, and documentation, spearhead the GTM collateral for the newest generation of Infoblox appliances, and influence the roadmap for all physical and virtual appliances across all product lines.
One Year: Participate as a key contributor to the roadmap and strategy definition of platform services, drive the creation and prioritization of product requirements across the product teams, fully engage with the agile release process, and serve as a subject matter expert.
