Social Media Rep – 3 Month Contract (Part Time)
The UMC team works in office from our award-winning creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto. This position requires applicants available to work 25 hours/week, Tuesday through Thursday in office.
Reporting to the Director, Audience Development, Social Media Rep will amplify our artists’ stories and support the growth of UMC’s Nightvision and UMUSIC brands via creative visual content in various mediums. This is a unique opportunity to work with the industry’s music company and start building your career in the music industry prior to graduation.
How You’ll Lead
- Create video, written and photo content for Twitch, TikTok, Instagram & YouTube
- Plan out a social media calendar with input from managers and teammates
- Communicate quickly, succinctly and effectively
- Frequently lead team meetings, discussions and planning
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages and comments
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns that create meaningful connections between UMG artists/brands and current & potential fans
- Build relationships and pitch artist opportunities to other social content creators
- Track and analyze campaign KPIs
- Produce virtual programming with local partners, organizations and universities
- Participate on brand and artist ideation task forces
- Meet deadlines with all work
What You Bring
- Exceptional understanding of social platforms including Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Deep knowledge of Dance, House, Electronic and Pop Music
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain key relationships
- Comfortable with public-speaking and leading presentations
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong time management & organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects with various deadlines
- Integrity when working on confidential projects
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Google Docs
- Knowledge of photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop & Premiere a plus
- Mailchimp or email marketing platform knowledge a plus
- Presentation and graphic design a plus
- Available to work 25 hours/week
