Position Overview
The Social Media Intern will be responsible for managing and executing the company’s social media strategy across platforms. This role will involve content creation, community engagement, campaign planning, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in producing social-first content that aligns with brand and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow PolicyAdvisor’s social media presence across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.)
- Develop, maintain, and execute a content calendar in alignment with marketing goals
- Create original content—both static and video—from concept to publishing
- Monitor trends and identify opportunities to engage and grow our audience
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and advisor teams to produce brand-aligned campaigns
- Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, engaging social content
- Respond to messages, comments, and engagement in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
- Track performance metrics, produce monthly reports, and suggest improvements
- Support employee advocacy by guiding team members on promoting branded content
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in social media, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and growing engagement
- Strong copywriting, editing, and visual storytelling skills
- Proficiency in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Familiarity with scheduling, analytics, and social publishing platforms (e.g., AgoraPulse, Hootsuite, Google Analytics)
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals and brand communication
- Bonus: Experience in insurance or financial services content is an asset, but not required
