We are hiring for a Full-Time Smokehouse Supervisor position with a wage range of $18.00 - $24.00 at our location in Stony Plain, AB.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead Smokehouse Team to:
• Preparing recipe ingredients for smoked products (bacon, jerky, pepperoni, sausage, etc.)
• Grinding, mixing, stuffing, hanging, smoking, and cooling of products
• Monitor product temperatures in controlled stages of production
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Properly handle and store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Assist Meat Department Manager in inventory management and ordering
• Ensure all quality, service, and cleanliness standards are adhered to by Smokehouse Team
• Team Member training and coaching to achieve operational standards
• Prepare special orders as per customer’s request
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience

What you Bring:

• 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position within a butchershop or smokehouse
• Knowledge of sausage-making fundamentals and familiarity with sausage-making equipment
• Positive, can-do personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Comfortable working during peak grocery deli hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
