Job Summary As a Test Automation Specialist, you will be accountable for driving quality; championing defect prevention and early defect detection by utilizing automation. You will also develop and maintain tests for API services and mentor other members of the quality assurance team on test automation techniques and best practices.
The Successful candidate's responsibilities will include: • Develop and maintain an automated test infrastructure for a large new enterprise web application • Develop and maintain automated tests using efficient and reusable automation code • Performance and load testing of web applications and supporting APIs • Mentor other QA team members on automation tools and techniques • Participate in our agile process by being an active contributor in daily standups, sprint kick-offs, demonstrations, and retrospectives
The ideal candidate for this position will have: • 5+ years’ experience in the Software quality assurance industry • 2+ years’ proven experience in automated testing with one or more test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress • Experience using Angular, Junit would be an asset • Knowledge of programming languages like C#, JAVA • Understanding of database concepts and good knowledge of SQL • Familiarity with API testing • Experience using Load Test tools like JMeter, Loadrunner • Experience in business requirements analysis and test case design • Ability to document defects and track them to resolution using defect management tools • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and best practices for QA automation • Experience with performance testing tools • Familiarity with version control tools like GIT. • Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent communication skills • Certificate in Quality Assurance or Technologist's Diploma or a satisfactory mix of education and practical experience
