Join Us in the Beautiful West Kootenay Region and Make a Difference in the Lives of Children and Youth!
Reporting to the SKY Regional Manager, the Kootenay Boundary Community Services Co-operative (KBCSC, or “the Koop”) is seeking two part-time SKY Coordinators to implement and oversee the day-to-day activities of the SKY Child and Youth Advocacy (CYAC) program in the West Kootenay region.
At SKY CYAC (Safe Kids & Youth Child and Youth Advocacy Centre), we’re committed to providing the highest level of support to children and youth who bravely come forward to share their experiences of abuse, violence, or neglect. Our approach is all about collaboration, and you’ll be part of a dedicated team working across multiple communities in the West Kootenay region.
What You’ll Do:
As the SKY Coordinator, you'll play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless support for children and youth across the West Kootenays. Working alongside the SKY Regional Manager and other SKY Coordinators, you'll be at the heart of shaping and evolving our program to deliver best-in-class responses to kids who’ve experienced violence. This is your chance to make a tangible impact in a beautiful region where the power of community is at the forefront of the response.

Imagine living and working in an area where you can enjoy world-class hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking, all within reach of your work.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone with 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of program management. While a Bachelor's degree in a related field is an asset, what really matters is your passion for the cause, along with experience in trauma-informed care, the justice system, and the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre model.
You’ll bring skills in:
· Building strong, collaborative relationships
· Leading diverse teams with cultural competency
· Communicating effectively, both in person and online
· Managing budgets and using web-based tools
Even if you don’t have every qualification but feel like you’re a great fit, we want to hear from you!
The Details:
· Work Hours: 24 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (occasional evening or weekend meetings)
· Location: Based in the West Kootenay region, with travel across communities and flexibility for a home office
· Salary: Starting at $33.77/hr, plus benefits
· Requirements: A valid driver’s license, vehicle, professional home office, and a successful criminal record check
