Job Summary
The Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations, ensuring exceptional service and quality in food preparation and presentation. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The Catering Manager will coordinate events, manage staff, and work closely with clients to create memorable dining experiences.
Duties
- Plan and execute catering events, including menu selection, food preparation, and service logistics.
- Supervise kitchen staff and catering team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records related to catering services.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing excellent customer service throughout the planning process.
- Utilize POS and PMS systems (including Vison and opera cloud) for order processing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management with a strong background in catering operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience in interviewing and training new staff members is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial management within a catering or restaurant environment.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, including hotel or barista roles, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about the food industry and committed to delivering outstanding service at every event.
