Epicuria is a well-established culinary company specializing in high-quality prepared foods and catering. We are seeking a Prep/Chef Garde-Manger to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role for a passionate chef with a love for detail, presentation, and cold kitchen creativity.
What You'll Do
- Prepare cold items including salads, hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, terrines, pâtés, aspics, soups, and sauces
- Wash, chop, and portion fresh ingredients with precision
- Plate and present visually stunning cold dishes and platters
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in portioning and quality
- Ensure proper food storage, rotation, and labeling
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards in all areas of the kitchen
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare for service and events
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (Garde-Manger experience preferred)
- Culinary diploma or certificate is an asset
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with French culinary techniques is a plus
- Food safety knowledge and a commitment to cleanliness
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
