As a Part Time Sales Supervisor at Mabel’s Bakery, your primary objective is to optimize the customer experience. This is achieved through friendly, warm, positive and sincere interactions with our customers along with the execution of a variety of tasks that are intended to ensure that the store is inviting, welcoming, well stocked, organized and clean. What you will be doing:
- Ensuring that all customers have a seamless shopping experience including a warm & friendly greeting, beneficial product knowledge and appropriate additional recommendations
- Maintaining store environment as welcoming and easy to shop, ensuring product displays & pantries are clean, rotated, and well-stocked to store merchandising plan
- Fulfilling customer requests by retrieving food from display fridges, slicing bread, warming and/or toasting of grab n go items, bagels, and sandwiches, brewing coffee and preparing beverages according to recipes and standards
- Baking and preparing food using proper food handling techniques while following company processes
- Communicating timely feedback to management, including but not limited to product quality, and operational and/or safety concerns
- Receiving product orders according to company procedure
- Executing cash handling procedures
- Ensuring that all product is accounted for that is purchased, damaged, wasted, and not sold within its shelf life in the manner designated by company policy
- Performing indoor and outdoor tasks, including but not limited to cleaning all surfaces including restrooms, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, washing dishes, snow and ice removal, daily equipment maintenance and waste/recyclable material sorting and removal as assigned or scheduled
- Ensuring that food safety and cleanliness standards are followed at all times, reporting any actual or near-miss injuries according to company policy and legal requirements
- Assigning tasks to associates

- Experience in a customer service, food service or food production environment is an asset
Certification/Licensing Requirements:
- Certification in Food Safety and/or First Aid is an asset but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Frequent bending and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs as required
Things you should know:
- Weekday availability at least two consistent days per week from 6:30am to 7:30pm
- Weekend availability is required to work either Saturday or Sunday and occasionally both days
- Full Time work is available if the candidate is able to work across all locations
- Weekly scheduled hours vary based on the needs of the business
- Holidays are a busy time for food - we work when our customers are hungry!
