Overview
The Front of House Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the front of house, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and cashiers, ensuring smooth service and excellent customer experience during the shift.
- Lead, support, and motivate the FOH team, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
- Train and mentor new employees on company policies and procedures related to food service and customer interaction.
- Assist with staff scheduling to maintain adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Supporting leadership team in managing and controlling food and beverage/liquor costs in the restaurant
- Handle cash and POS system operations accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in conducting regular alcohol counts and ensure accurate reporting for inventory management. Maintain and restock FOH supplies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in Franchise or corporate restaurant (2+ years).
- Preferred Boston Pizza experience in FOH but not a must
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. Pro Serve certification is required. Preferred Food Safety Certification
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a guest-first mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Experience in food service operations, including familiarity with POS systems.
- Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and support team members effectively.
